Introduction

Osteolife Ltd was established to offer high standards of private patient care, which is accessible and affordable; and with an emphasis on imparting knowledge to empower the patient.

Osteolife Ltd offers three main services to its patients: Osteopathy, Exercise Consultation and Personal Fitness Training.

We combine our medical background in osteopathy with the practical application of exercise physiology and over a decade of experience in the health and fitness industry. We have developed a unique style of therapy, which is safe and highly effective. With this approach, the patient is shown how to effectively manage their symptoms and take control of their lives (and pain), with a combination of osteopathic treatment and prescribed exercise.

Osteolife Ltd is passionate about patient care, the importance of vitality and promoting a decent quality of life.

“More than a therapy, more than an attitude: it’s a way of life.”
(E. Dayaram, founder of Osteolife Ltd)

A Word Of Support

“For more than two decades I have both observed and encouraged the progress of the osteopathic profession in the UK. It is ten years since the opening of the Statutory Register and, as a result of that, all osteopaths are now regulated in the same way as doctors and dentists, with their own Act of Parliament. I am especially proud to have played a small role in helping to secure the necessary steps towards ensuring that osteopathy became the first complementary medicine profession to achieve statutory regulation.
I know that in recent times the whole area of professional self-regulation in healthcare has been under intense scrutiny, but the osteopathic profession’s commitment to high standards of regulation, training and continuing professional development has stood it in good stead throughout this period. I remain utterly convinced that the profession will continue to develop and build on these standards of excellence in the years ahead.”

Elaine's approach to primary healthcare combines a unique blend of osteopathy with experience gained in the health and fitness industry since 1994. Her style of treatment reflects this and so a wide variety of techniques are employed, most commonly including manipulation and soft tissue techniques as well as those drawn from the field of Cranial Osteopathy.

Who are the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)?

The GOsC set strict guidelines and a Code of Conduct that all osteopaths must adhere to, not least of which that each osteopath has completed a minimum of 4 years full time study and must provide annual evidence of continued professional development (further study) in order to maintain their registration with the GOsC. To further protect osteopaths and their patients, the title 'Osteopath' is protected by Parliament, which means that it is illegal for anyone not registered with the GOsC to call themselves an Osteopath.
