Who are the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC)?
The GOsC set strict guidelines and a Code of Conduct that all osteopaths must adhere to, not least of which that each osteopath has completed a minimum of 4 years full time study and must provide annual evidence of continued professional development (further study) in order to maintain their registration with the GOsC. To further protect osteopaths and their patients, the title 'Osteopath' is protected by Parliament, which means that it is illgal for anyone not registered with the GOsC to call themselves an Osteopath.
